Dave is one of two founding Senior Partners of CPointe Associates, Inc.
Since 1996, Dave has worked with clients in multiple sectors. He has guided e-commerce start-ups, new retail concepts, advised regional distribution firms, created sales & product management processes for consumer goods companies and developed and employed current strategies including social media. In addition he has been responsible for companies analyzing their business, strategizing their growth and then participating hands-on in the business development efforts that ensure their success.
In the past 2 years one area of focus was Collier's International and the Retail Sales Group where he matched high profile developments in Los Angeles with major national and regional retailers.
Dave spent five years in a functional capacity for Global Marketing Partners, a leading distribution aggregator where he led a team of associates who created and sold marketing vehicles inside a major technology retailer's print, CRM and online media. He recently completed and in-depth organizational assessment for Executive Business Services, a Southern California technology company whose Pro-Pricer© is used by 80% of major companies making proposals to the U.S. Government. He regularly attends industry conferences and events such as Retail Vision and CES. He worked with DigitalZing to pioneer electronic registration response for consumers. He has worked with leading database marketing companies Equifax and Donnelly/InfoUSA tailoring their offerings for retail partners nationwide. He represented Datascension, a leading outsourced call center provider. For Bravo!Foods International, he went to Shanghai, China to establish sales and product management systems. He worked for five years with Stuffbak Inc. helping them launch their lost item return service into retail and service companies.
Dave's additional client list includes CyberPlay, SIDEA, River Source Investments, Media Specialists, American Customer Satisfaction Group, Family Wealth Management, EarthLink, Naviant and others.
Dave's experience includes: vice president at Merisel Inc., a $5 billion distributor of computer products, where he was responsible for retail and internet customers such as CompUSA, Office Depot, Staples, Micro Center and Fry's. He has held vice president of merchandising positions with Computer City/Communication Expo and GameStop(Software Etc). In addition, he has held various senior executive operational positions with Software Etc., Zale Jewelers, Montgomery Ward and Target.
Dave founded and contributes to Retail Intelligence® – a subscription based, weekly newsletter and blog, published for brokerage and investment firms, that reports on retail and retailers.
Dave holds a bachelor's of science degree in business management from Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa.
