An energetic leader with over 30 years of retail experience. Most recently, Randy was Regional Manager for CompUSA, responsible for 20 stores and over 1200 associates in the Southwestern U.S.
Randy played a big part from the beginning in the growth of CompUSA. As one of the earliest members of the management team, he developed the Associate Interviewing & Selection training programs as well as Management Interviewing & Selection processes. He was instrumental in formulating the performance review programs still in place at CompUSA today. He participated in conceiving management assessment programs that focused on developing future leaders along with associate level development programs.
At Golfsmith, as a Regional Manager, Randy piloted the explosive growth of their retail superstores. He helped define the new store opening process and directed the development of new programs for merchandising and operations. Once again, his skills drove the development of interviewing & selection processes along with product knowledge and selling skills programs for the company’s associates.
Starting his retail career at Target, he held increasingly responsible positions including opening the first Target Stores in Arizona. Here his recruiting and training skills were honed on the challenge of staffing half dozen new stores... His 15 years at Target were critical to his future success.
Randy attended Morningside College and Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Iowa. He routinely participates as a guest lecturer at Grand Canyon College (AZ) in their Retail Management Program.
